Digital Photography and Imaging - Project 2A - Week 5
Week 5
On this week, we got some feedback from our lecturer for the last part of our project 1, final digital collage. Then we got a griefing on our project 2. After this we moved on to our week 5 exercise which is exposure editing. Basically, in this exercise we have photoshop Shazam to the Hearst Mansion, and make it look as natural as possible. After this we had to do the same thing with our own picture, making sure that the picture is taken from the correct angle (eye-level) so that it would look similar to Shazam's picture

Exercise
Part 1 - Shazam
First we had to crop out Shazam from the poster then drag drop the image to the Hearst Mansion. After this we need to match the color first then added noise . After this, we created a new layer for the shadow using the brush tool and added blur filter to it, inorder to make it took more like a shadow. Then we created a new layer for the reflection shazam. For this first, duplicated the Shazam layer then flipped it vertically and placed it below the original shazam. Then using the lasso tool cropped the part of the leg that shouldn't be in the picture. Then we color corrected the reflection layer and added the ripple filter to it.

Part 2 - My reflection
In this part of the exercise, we need to use the same steps but instead of using Shazam's picture you need to use your own. We have to make sure that the picture is taken in the right lighting. But since I didn't have anywhere else to take the picture I took it in my house using natural light. After this I started attempting. used the quick selection tool to mask the picture first, though it looked really rough around the edges, so i used the pen tool to trace the picture. After I continue the steps just like I did in part 1 of the exercise.

Reflection
I think overall, this weeks exercise was pretty easy for me. I think this is because I have become more and more familiar with photoshop with every passing week. Though, I know that there is a lot more to be learned.
