Digital Photography and Imaging - Week Exercise 9

 Week 9

This week, we were introduced to After Effects. During the lecture we were given a basic introduction about this program as well as tutorials. Adobe After Effects is a digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application developed by Adobe Systems and used in the post-production process of filmmaking, video games and television production. Among other things, After Effects can be used for keying, tracking, compositing, and animation.

Exercise
The main point of this week's practical exercise was about getting used to the application. Mr. Fauzi had already prepared a composition for us, and we were supposed to animate it by importing it to After Effects.
The main parts were, composition, layers and how to create keyframes.  After the exercise is done we are supposed to upload it our youtube channel.

Next we had to import the photoshop file on After Effects then animate it. I created a new composition then adjusted each layer by creating mask and adjusting the position scale and rotation as well as opacity.

Reflection
This week's exercise was an introduction to After Effects. I think this exercise really helped me understand some of the basics of this application.
